Our Committees
Cyprus Union of Shipowners is being organised on multiple levels. Cyprus is an open shipping register, which conforms to international obligations and commitments. The Union is in need of performance evaluation measures; therefore transparency is required on all levels and sets as a target the improvement of coordination and cooperation between the interested parties.The below-mentioned Committees are part of the continuous efforts of the Cyprus Union of Shipowners to improve its services and achieve its main objectives.
Tax and Finance Committee
1. Mr. Takis Klerides – Chairman (CUS Treasurer)

This Committee examines and reviews financial matters regarding the Union and taxation matters with respect to shipping both at national and international level.
Labour Committee

This Committee deals with all Labour related issues and represent the Union to all Labour Organizations and forums.
Foreign Affairs & Public Relations Committee

The above – mentioned Committee examines and makes suggestions with respect to the social functions of the Union.
Safety & Environment Committee / Technical Committee

Examines safety and quality issues, as well as issues related to the protection of the environment and deals with the collection of statistics on accidents onboard ships. The members of this committee shall observe and participate to the workings of ECSA Safety & Environment Committee.
